“The Poetry of Stone”

The Natural History Museum of Burgas hosts a guest exhibition from the Earth and Man National Museum in Sofia. On show are precious and semi-precious stones and minerals, among them diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and giant amethyst crystals from Brazil. The exhibition sets out to link the permanence of stone with the immortality of poetry: beside the specimens stand excerpts from verses by Omar Khayyam, Shakespeare, Byron, Pushkin and Heine. It can be seen from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Entry is subject to a fee.
