One of Italy's landmark orchestras arrives in Bulgaria on tour for the first time! The Giuseppe Verdi di Salerno Philharmonic — the symphony orchestra of the famous Giuseppe Verdi theatre in Salerno — will give concerts in 6 cities, including Burgas. A guest appearance from Italy that rarely happens on a Bulgarian stage.

The programme includes emblematic works from the operatic and symphonic legacy of Giuseppe Verdi — music that has left a lasting mark on the history of world classical music. Lovers of classical music will be able to hear timeless works under the open sky, interpreted with an authentic Italian sound and the highest orchestral culture.

The concert is conducted by the world-renowned maestro and composer Guido Mancusi. Among the soloists is the Italian singer Marco Di Sapia, with more talented performers still to be announced.

The Giuseppe Verdi di Salerno Philharmonic was founded in 1997 and is a leading participant in all opera productions of its theatre. Bulgarian artists from the Sofia and Varna opera and ballet companies also appear on the Salerno stage. The orchestra has performed in France, Germany, Portugal, India and Japan, and now presents its mastery to the Bulgarian public for the first time.
