The Burgas oncology centre’s “White Swallow” evening: talks and personal stories about life with breast cancer.
“White Swallow” is the campaign with which the Complex Oncology Centre — Burgas marks October, the month of the fight against breast cancer; the white swallow is a symbol of hope. The centre invites the women of Burgas and their families to an evening dedicated to women who have heard the diagnosis “breast cancer” — a meeting with real stories. Assoc. Prof. Dr Asya Konsulova speaks about medicine, treatment and the road ahead, the psychologist Mariya Slaveykova about what happens inside us when the world around us changes, and Dr Ani Dragolova about care, prevention and the strength to stay one step ahead of fear. Kremena Kraeva, who has been through the illness, shares her personal story; Irina Dimova, a nurse at the centre, also takes part.
