International Animation Day
Three screening programmes at the Sea Casino, from animation’s pioneers to student films and MONSTRA.
Burgas marks International Animation Day with three screening programmes: from the early experiments that laid the foundations of animation, through some of the best Bulgarian student films of recent years, to contemporary work from MONSTRA, the Lisbon animation festival. The date was chosen to commemorate 28 October 1892, when Émile Reynaud first showed his “Optical Theatre” (Théâtre Optique) to the public at the Musée Grévin in Paris. In the Petya Dubarova Hall on the 1st floor of the Sea Casino Cultural Centre. From 17:00 to 20:00. Free entry.
