Metalhead Beer Fest 2026

Two days, 20 breweries and more than 100 kinds of craft beer await visitors to Metalhead Beer Fest in Burgas. On 1 and 2 August Mineralni Bani Park hosts the festival, which again this year offers a wide range of Bulgarian and foreign craft beers, a tasty street food zone and a music programme with popular DJs. On both days the programme runs from 15:00 to 23:00 and admission is free.

This year’s edition brings together 20 independent breweries, 10 of them from abroad. Alongside the Bulgarian producers, five of the most popular Romanian craft breweries are coming to Burgas, as well as representatives of Denmark, Finland, Greece, Lithuania and Latvia. Over the two festival days visitors can choose from more than 100 different kinds of beer.

Among the most anticipated participants is Romania’s Hop Hooligans, regarded as one of the leading craft breweries in Europe. Especially for the festival it offers eight different beers — from heavily hopped IPAs, through fruity smoothie sours, to full-bodied dark beers with notes of chocolate.

Food and music

The organisers have also prepared a rich street food zone, where visitors can try burgers, hot dogs, paella, barbecue specialities, chips and many more culinary temptations. The mood is taken care of by DJ John Katta and DJ Ivo Happy, both well known to the Burgas audience, as well as the Dutch guest DJ And Just-In For All.

Reusable cup and tokens

This year the beer festival takes a big step towards a greener future — there will be no plastic cups on site. Every visitor uses a special reusable glass festival cup, which keeps the taste of the beer and stays as a souvenir of the festival. All purchases are made with festival tokens, bought at the marked cash desks on site.

Getting there

The park is in the Vetren district, about 14 km from the centre of Burgas, and is served by bus line No. 3. After the programme ends extra buses are provided — on 1 August at 23:10 and 23:40, and on 2 August at 23:10. In the same area are the Metalhead Brewery, which organises the festival, and the ancient complex Aquae Calidae — Thermopolis.
