Workshop “Burgas: From Coastal Challenges to Sustainable Solutions”

The Blue Gates Demo Days in Burgas open with a stakeholder workshop on the city’s coastal and climate resilience. The project’s partners and local stakeholders will discuss good practice in the sustainable development of coastal areas and adaptation to climate change. The programme includes a methodology for applying a “Blue Label” under the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”, which will be piloted in Burgas. The city’s Climate Unit will present its initiatives and project ideas, and working groups will look for practical solutions for the climate-resilient development of Park “Ezero”. The Blue Gates project (BSB00189) is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021–2027; Burgas Municipality is one of its partners, together with organisations from Turkey, Romania and Ukraine. At the Flora Exhibition Center in the Sea Garden. From 10:00 to 16:00. Free entry. Registration in advance on the project’s website is required.
