The National Network for Children and Burgas Municipality present the travelling exhibition “150 Years of Children’s Organisations in Bulgaria: History, Lessons and the Future” and the book “Encyclopedia of Children’s Organisations in Bulgaria. The Chronicles of a Children’s Rights Activist”, the first encyclopedia of its kind on the history of children’s organisations. The exhibition has 21 panels of archival photographs, documents, people and stories: it begins with the first women’s charitable societies after the Liberation and reaches today’s civil-society organisations. In some 580 pages the book brings together information on over 600 organisations, initiatives, people and civic activists. Guests can meet and talk with the author, Georgi Bogdanov, the Network’s executive director, and see the exhibition. The exhibition was made under the project “Networks in Action”, funded by the Swiss-Bulgarian Cooperation Programme, and will tour more than 20 towns in the country. In the Petya Dubarova Hall on the 1st floor of the Sea Casino Cultural Centre. Starts at 14:00. Free entry.
