Georgi Baev Gallery

The Georgi Baev gallery-museum — one of the most important cultural spaces in Burgas: a permanent exhibition, a hall for visiting shows and an open-air Art Garden.

Address
6 Demokratsiya Blvd, Burgas

Set in a well-connected spot – just a step away from the Sea Garden and the very heart of the city – the Georgi Baev gallery-museum is among the most important cultural spaces in Burgas.

It proudly bears the name of Georgi Dimitrov Baev – one of the most iconic Bulgarian painters, recognised as one of “the great humanists of Europe and the world”. His rich creative career was marked by dozens of solo exhibitions not only in Bulgaria but across the globe – Europe, the USA, Mexico, the former USSR, China, India, Indonesia, North Africa, Vietnam and others.

A modern space for art

The gallery opened its doors on the landmark date of 6 December 2013 in a fully renovated and state-of-the-art two-storey building. The space is divided into two main halls:

Hall 2 (Permanent exhibition): Here you will find a rich collection of original canvases by the artist himself.

Hall 1 (Multifunctional space): Intended for visiting exhibitions, book launches, presentations, training sessions and a wide variety of cultural events.

Open-air Art Garden

The gallery is also home to a lovely open-air Art Garden. During the warmer months it becomes a magnet for culture under the open sky, offering the chance to enjoy film screenings, acoustic concerts, book presentations and exhibitions.
