Central Beach
A small beach between the old and new town, an easy walk from both, with harbour views. Good for a quick dip.
Harmani Beach
The main beach of the new town — about 1 km of fine sand, with beach bars, showers and a guarded zone. Family-friendly.
Kavatsi
4 km south of Sozopol — a spacious beach with a gentle slope and campsites nearby. Often windy, a favourite with surfers and kiters.
Smokinya and Alepu
6–9 km south — wild beaches inside the Smokinya protected area and the Alepu lagoon, with dunes and protected flora. Less infrastructure, ideal for quieter days.
Tip
South of Sozopol the coast is protected land — keep to marked paths and stay off vegetated dunes.
