Petya Dubarova House Museum

The home of the talented Burgas poet.

The Petya Dubarova House Museum is a significant cultural institution dedicated to the life and immortal work of one of Bulgaria's most talented and beloved poets. The site is an exceptionally valuable destination for lovers of literary tourism.

Authentic exhibition and preserved memory

Located at 68 Gladstone Street, the museum opened in 1995. Its most powerful part is the fully restored personal room of Petya Dubarova, which preserves the authentic atmosphere of the time of her creative work. The permanent exhibition presents a rich archival collection — visitors can engage with original manuscripts, personal diaries, letters, unpublished works and the poet's personal belongings.

A living cultural hub

Today the institution functions not only as a keeper of her memory, but also as an active cultural hub. The museum is the main organiser of the annual prestigious Petya Dubarova National Literary Competition, which discovers and encourages young writers. A visit here offers a deeply emotional and inspiring experience that reveals the romantic spirit of Burgas.
