International Forum “Maritime Heritage and Fishing Traditions” — day one
The first day of the international forum is held in the conference hall of the Chengene Skele cultural and tourist complex.
The international forum “Maritime Heritage and Fishing Traditions: Communities, Policies and Sustainable Development” opens in the conference hall of the Chengene Skele complex. It brings together researchers, museums and non-governmental organisations from nine countries — Bulgaria, Türkiye, Slovenia, Romania, Croatia, Greece, Cyprus, Ukraine and Italy — to share experience and draft policy recommendations in support of maritime cultural heritage. The organisers are Burgas Municipality, the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO, the Burgas 2032 Foundation and the Regional History Museum – Burgas. The second day continues at the Ethnographic Museum in Burgas.
