“La bola negra” (Spain, France, 2026, 155 min) is the film by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi inspired by Federico García Lorca’s unfinished work of the same name and by Alberto Conejero’s play “The Dark Stone”. A triptych about three men in 1932, 1937 and 2017 whose stories Lorca’s work links in an unexpected way. Pedro Almodóvar is a co-producer. The film was in competition at Cannes in 2026 and won the Best Director award (shared). It opens the festival’s Burgas programme. In the Toncho Rusev Hall. Starts at 19:00.
