At 8:30 p.m. the Burgas International Film Festival 2026 closes officially with an awards ceremony, followed at 8:45 p.m. by “Dead Man’s Wire” (USA, 2025, 103 min) — Gus Van Sant’s latest film, premiered out of competition at the 2025 Venice Film Festival. Based on a true story from 1977, it stars Bill Skarsgård, Colman Domingo and Al Pacino. The closing night pays tribute to Gus Van Sant, one of the pioneers of American independent cinema.
