Aurora (Bulgaria/Italy, 2026, 107 min) — a film by Georgi Stoev-Jackie and Nikola Boshnakov, also shown at Sofia Film Fest 2026. Set in the 1950s, it follows Maria (Konstantina Georgieva), the daughter of an industrialist condemned by the People’s Court, who meets the Italian journalist Marcello Conti (Brenno Placido) when he arrives in Bulgaria and falls in love with her. A screening on the closing day of the Burgas International Film Festival 2026 at the NHK Cultural Centre.
