The Central Beach lies directly below the Sea Garden, running from the old Sea Station in the north to the port in the south. It is about 2 km long and 40–60 m wide, with fine golden sand brought in during the 1960s. This is the beach closest to the city centre and the busiest in Burgas.
The beach is fully equipped: lifeguard towers every 200 m (staffed from 15 May to 15 September), paid umbrellas and sunbeds, six free playgrounds, showers and toilets. The seafront promenade along the beach is lined with bars and restaurants, and every August it hosts concerts and beach-sport tournaments.
It is a 5-minute walk down from the Sea Garden to the beach. The cleanest section is in front of the Expo children's enclosure; the busiest is opposite the old Casino. Entry to the sea is gentle — the water stays shallow for about 30 metres from the shore.
