Landmarks

Tsarevo is the gateway to the Strandzha Nature Park — Bulgaria's largest protected area. It combines Revival-era church architecture, a fishing harbour, a lighthouse and walking trails.

Dormition of Mother of God Church

A three-nave basilica from 1810 — the oldest building in town, in the heart of the old Vasiliko quarter. Its icons and wood-carved iconostasis are from the 19th century.

Fishing harbour

The small harbour gathers dozens of fishing gemii, from which fresh fish is supplied each morning to the market and taverns. A great spot for a morning walk and sunset photos.

Tsarevo Lighthouse

The lighthouse on the rocky headland marks the end of the old peninsula — a small late-19th-century building with a big role in southern coast navigation.

Strandzha Nature Park

Bulgaria's largest protected area spans 1,161 km² of forested mountain country with unique flora and fauna. Tsarevo is one of its gateways — with a tourist info centre and marked trails to Sinemorets, Rezovo and Balgari.

Arapya and the vineyards

The stretch between Tsarevo and Ahtopol is known for small vineyards — local "Mavrud" and "Shiroka Melnishka Loza" varietals can be tasted at a handful of family cellars. Pair with Arapya beach for a complete summer experience.

Tsar Peter harbour square

The central square with a monument to Tsar Peter, fountains and a summer stage. Home to traditional municipal holidays and the annual Sea Days festival in summer.
