Giro d'Italia — Grande Partenza Bulgaria 2026
Burgas hosts the Stage 1 finish (Nessebar → Burgas) and the Stage 2 start (Burgas → Veliko Tarnovo) of the 109th Giro d’Italia.
For the first time in history, the Giro d’Italia starts from Bulgaria — opening-stage routes run through Burgas on 8 and 9 May 2026. Main arteries will be closed to traffic; spectators watch free of charge from designated zones. Delivered in partnership between RCS Sport, the Ministry of Youth and Sport and Burgas Municipality.
