“Sea Creatures” Eco-Carnival
Children from various schools and kindergartens parade in sea-creature costumes made from reused materials.
The Célestin Freinet Private Primary School, in partnership with Burgas Municipality, holds its annual “Sea Creatures” Eco-Carnival for International Black Sea Day on 31 October. Young participants from various schools and kindergartens parade in original costumes of sea creatures and fantastic beings, made mostly from reused materials; the carnival brings children, teachers and parents together around protecting the marine ecosystem. The special guest is the fanfare band of the P. R. Slaveykov Primary School in Burgas. Because bad weather is expected, the carnival is indoors this year instead of on its traditional open-air route. The school is a member of the international Eco-Schools network. In the big hall of the College of Tourism in Park “Ezero”. Starts at 14:30. Free entry.
