Central Beach
The main beach strip — about 1 km of fine golden sand with a gentle slope. Lifeguarded in summer, with loungers, umbrellas and small beach bars. Family-friendly.
River-mouth coves
At the northern end of the beach, where the Aheloy river meets the sea, there are small wild coves — quiet places for a coffee with a view of the boats.
Ravda and Sunny Beach (neighbouring)
2 km to the north — Ravda beach continuing into Sunny Beach — 8 km of continuous sand, one of the largest beaches on the Black Sea. Easy to reach on foot along the seafront or by local bus.
Tip
For the quietest swim, try the southern end of Aheloy in the morning — smaller crowds and a great view of St. Anastasia Island and Burgas Bay to the south.
Start your day in Aheloy
A morning walk to the river mouth, fresh fish for lunch at the harbour, afternoon on the beach, evening — a short trip to Nessebar or Pomorie.
